SESSION TOPICS

CLICK EACH TOPIC FOR ABSTRACT • TIMES TBD • ALL SESSIONS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

The TMS is an operational backbone for companies where the movement of products and freight is critical to business success. Deploying a TMS delivers an immediate boost to operational efficiencies across a transportation network. However, employing a “set and forget” strategy once implemented or not cultivating evergreen value via the latest releases can lead to sub-optimal use. During this session, we’ll discuss ways to achieve sustainable value from your TMS including leveraging and extending base workflows, making use of available education paths and how to stay current on the latest functionality so that you get the most value out of the rich set of capabilities – and your investment.

Freight doesn’t always arrive in perfect condition or, sometimes at all, despite meticulous planning. Too often companies eat the cost of these damaged or no-show shipments because it’s deemed too difficult to file a successful claim. This is a profit-eroding decision. In an environment where a company is operating at a 2% net profit, writing off a $50 claim instead of attempting to recover it would require $2,500 in sales to offset the costs. This session will showcase the MercuryMyEZClaim management solution and provide best practices for building a business case to gain company buy-in for implementing a claims management solution to help protect your company’s bottom line.

When trying to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiencies, there’s a big difference between simply consolidating loads and true multimodal optimization. Leveraging MercuryGate’s Multimodal Optimization across the entire transportation network will maximize performance.  Join us for this session where we’ll cover the fundamentals of leveraging MercuryGate’s Multimodal Optimization capabilities and share best practices to reduce costs, achieve delivery requirements and even weigh C02 emissions by mode. We’ll cover five scenarios that demonstrate how companies solve their business needs with MMO.

More than 45 million workers quit their jobs last year and data suggests that reshuffling in the workforce isn’t slowing down. Losing skilled employees with valuable knowledge and specialized skills can be challenging. It’s important to continually re-invest in knowledge across people and systems. Join this session to learn how MecuryGate can help your organization reduce the disruption of TMS user attrition. We’ll discuss how MercuryGate education paths are available to help quickly onboard new users while upskilling existing employees and how workflows within the TMS can help democratize organizational knowledge to keep freight moving through the TMS.

Increasingly companies are tasked with reducing CO2 emissions by choice or governmental regulation. In our industry, this means reducing empty miles, optimizing capacity and choosing the most eco-friendly mode while still meeting delivery requirements. Join us in this session where we’ll discuss ways to leverage MercuryGate TMS and Final Mile solutions to help achieve green mandates. Topics will include selecting the right carrier, finding operational efficiencies such as cross-docking and backhauls, leveraging optimization capabilities to compare modes and making real-time tactical adjustments across first and final mile to optimize assets and drivers.

Responding to market challenges related to driver shortages, rising fuel costs, lacking visibility and inefficient miles, MercuryGate acquired Cheetah Software in 2021. The acquisition extends MercuryGate’s platform to deliver intelligent first and final mile, parcel and less-than-truckload (LTL) capabilities. The system plans delivery routes and predicts arrival times as it adapts, live and automatically, to changing conditions such as weather, traffic, customer cancellations, new stop insertions and driver exceptions.  Join us for this session where we’ll provide an overview and demonstration of first, middle and final mile functionality for dedicated or private fleets.

Decisions based on poor quality and missing data can lead to profit-eroding outcomes such as half empty trucks running routes and missed delivery windows leading to unhappy customers. Although the importance of good data is fundamentally understood as a cornerstone to insight and informed decision making, data stewardship is often an area in need of attention. Join us for this session where we’ll discuss the value of data in driving Smart Transportation. We’ll cover areas such as data acquisition, data quality and data operations as part of an overall data governance approach within the MercuryGate platform to consistently make the right decisions that help scale operations and improve customer satisfaction.

MercuryGate has made exciting enhancements within the EZVision Load Board which enables users to be more proactive, have greater visibility into their movements and benefit from an overall enhanced user experience. It is the next generation UI that allows you, our customers, to plan and execute movements with increased flexibility around required objects and workflow. Join us for this session where we’ll showcase the benefits of the latest Load Board experience such as summary dashboards and how to take advantage of all the new functionality.

We understand the business importance of having visibility into inbound orders across supplies and vendors to make operational decisions. That’s why over the last several release cycles, MercuryGate has been improving and elevating order functionality. Users will gain better visibility of order execution through delivery and will be able to take more prescriptive action based on real-time order status. Join us for this session to learn more and how the shipping cart concept will improve the order shipment process and ultimately empower suppliers and vendors to leverage the system.

Having visibility into and across your organization supply chain has never been more important than it is in today’s environment. Clear line of sight into your logistics operations provides you the opporuntity to ensure that everything is running smoothly while at the same time support collaboration with your partners. Join us as we explore how a valued customer went from having disparate systems to achieving one, unified version of the truth and real-time visibility into their entire transportation operations.

Agility and flexibility are the cornerstones of successful supply chain relationships. Your TMS can help… IF you know how to get the most out of it. Learn how and why Peco Pallet, North America’s leading supplier and manufacturer of shipping pallets, chose to undergo a major transformation of its supply chain operations and update to the latest version of its MercuryGate transportation management software in the process and the results that have been achieved since the project’s conclusion.

Rating within transportation networks can be complex and maintaining your rates can be overwhelming. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. By using the MercuryGate TMS you have access to a best-in-class rating engine that supports all modes and types including zone rating and groupage. Additionally, with MercuryGate’s Omni rating you have the ability to insert scripts into the rating logic to solve your individual complex scenarios.

The ability to adjust to changing conditions or circumstances have never been more apparent than over the last couple of years. During this time, we have experienced a need to quickly adjust to market and environmental conditions.

Across the industry, more and more logistics providers and shippers are embracing new pricing models to help remove variability in their costs and mitigate cash flow issues caused by shipping rates in a constant state of flux. Many are turning to more predictable “cost-plus” or “uplift” pricing strategies to help normalize pricing against wide swings in both supply and demand for global supply chains.  Learn how MercuryGate’s new Dynamic Rating Manager can provide you with a single, centralized tool to support multiple pricing strategies.

Emerging technologies, supply chain disruption, economic uncertainty, green mandates, shifting consumer expectations — these are just a few of the challenges rewriting the rules of the transportation industry. Hear from our panel of experts what’s driving change and how your business can turn challenges into opportunities for growth.

With the continuing driver shortage, rising fuel costs and pervasive supply chain disruptions, finding capacity continues to challenge the transportation industry. Join our panel of industry experts for an informative discussion of how businesses are leveraging new strategies and technologies to source capacity in a capacity-constrained market.

Relying on tribal knowledge, hard copy bills and files to design routes can be tedious, inefficient and consume a lot of man hours. Hear from leading LTL, Oak Harbor, how they reduced their entire route planning process at their largest delivery terminal from 12-14 man hours every night to less than 2 hours daily leveraging MercuryGate’s Final Mile to help them graduate from a reliance on tribal knowledge to an easily systemized set of best practices. Featuring: Joe Cook, Corporate Planning Manager, Oak Harbor.

Getting goods through the supply chain has never been more challenging. Real-time visibility into shipment location and the ability to remediate actions for loads in-transit, directly from the TMS, is a must-have. Hear how Kenco is employing MercuryGate’s TMS, Final Mile & Claims solutions to work smarter, not harder.  Featuring: Todd Bucher, Kenco

In this  Super User session, we will take a look at some tips and tricks to provide enhanced flexibility to workflows by building off of your existing foundational dynamic rulesets.  We will delve into how you can build out your workflows, and leverage additional configurations, allowing for fast and easy repeatability that you control.  Leveraging interdependent module logic will reduce clicks and unnecessary activities that plague many workflows.  Regardless as to whether or not you have Dynamic Ruleset access, by following this strategy, you can keep workflow managing in house allowing for reusability and providing a scalable foundation as you grow and expand. Featuring: Jane Williams and Chris Croom from DHL

Are you using spreadsheets to track and validate carrier compliance? Is carrier compliance a labor-intensive process that struggles to adapt to changing criteria? Do you struggle to onboard new carriers quickly? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please join us for this session where we’ll discuss how the MercuryGate Carrier Management solution can help you automate, manage and collaborate across your carrier community for improved efficiency, compliance and cost savings.  You’ll see a brief demo of the solution and hear from a long-time user that realized significant business value.

Dynamic rulesets (DRS) are a powerful tool within the TMS that can drive automation and deliver scalable, operational value for the organization. Maximizing that value depends on the thoughtful application of DRS against intended use cases.  If you are a superuser with DRS certification, please join us for this session where we’ll touch upon the fundamentals of dynamic rulesets, review optimization strategies, and cover some common mistakes to avoid.
